THE CREATIVE CRAFTERS CHALLENGE #1

Hello There My Crafty Friends!
I am so excited to share the news with you today!
My dear friend Mary at Ameera Crafts and I have started a challenge blog together and today is the first day of the challenge. We would love for you to come and join us!

All our challenges are 'Anything Goes'

I want to share with y'all my first project for the challenge.
I have been working on this on and off for awhile and finally (after I was happy with it)
I am finished, yay!
I wanted it to look kinda fairy like, though not sure I accomplished that, lol.
Do ya think a fairy would like to live there? :)
It can hang up too. :)
I sure had a lot of fun making it. :)

...For This Project - Step By Step...
Cut a piece of cardboard off of a box.
Took most of the top layer off to show the corrugated part.
Using dies I cut out the window and fence with white cardstock.
Then used the distress ink pad on the window and fence.
Attached them to the piece of cardboard using Ad-tech glue.
Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock with distress ink.
Cut out the sentiment and added distress ink around it.
Poked a hole in each top side of it, put twine in it with a knot on each end.
Attached the twine to the cardboard with glue and a pop-dot behind the paper.
Cut out grape vine leaves and other greenery with dies.
Glued all the greenery on using Ad-tech glue.
Then glued the flowers and curled flower stems on using Gem-Tac glue.
Glued a string of pearls in and around the greenery on the top using Gem-Tac glue.
Used a dark brown marker on the cardboard inside the window.
Glued two pieces of lace in the window with Ad-tech glue.
Cut two pieces of green cardstock to go across the bottom.
Folded the green cardstock in half and cut small lines across it to make grass.
Used a wet napkin on the grass and twisted the top of each blade with tweezers.
Glued one strip of grass across the bottom of the cardboard and fence with Ad-tech glue.
Made a fold line on the bottom part of the second strip of grass.
Then glued the grass a little lower, folded the bottom behind the cardboard, glued in place.
Added flatback pearls with Ad-tech glue on the top greenery and on the grass.
Cut a piece of twine long enough for hanging, wrapped a string of pearls around it.
Glued the ends of the string of pearls to the ends of the twine to keep it together.
Then glued an end on each side of the top part on the back of the cardboard.

DIGISTAMPS4JOY CHALLENGE #145

Hello Crafty Friends,
We have a new challenge starting today over at
The theme for this challenge is...
Anything Goes with a Twist "I love you"

...Here's my inspiration card for the challenge...
I think this image is so beautiful! She looks like she is waiting for her love.

I had already made a tag with the image. But then I saw a beautiful card someone had made with a tag on it that had an image, I just had to try it. The die cut I had made previously with the butterfly and flowers matched the die cut roses on the tag, so thought it perfect for the card. I tried putting patterned paper behind the die cut but it just took away from it and made the images hard to see. But I also didn't want just plain paper, so got out my favorite distress ink pad 'Tea Dye' and went around the front of the card.
As for the tag, I cut it out in a color that worked with her flowers. Then I fussy cut the image out, added coffee stained gauge on the tag, then glued the image on.
I enjoy working with the rolled die cut flowers. After I roll the flower and glue it together, I use my tweezers to curl the edges of the petals downward.

CUTE AS A BUTTON NEW RELEASE

Hello There Crafty Friends!
First I want to say welcome to the new followers. :)

I want to share with y'all a card I made for a new release at...
Using the beautiful 'Your Love Is Enough'
She reminds me of the beautiful ladies you see in a circus.
So much enjoyment watching circus performers.

...For This Card - Step By Step...
Purple cardstock for the card base.
After coloring the image I fussy cut around her.
Cut patterned paper to fit center of the card.
Laid the image onto the paper and traced inside the heart.
Cut out the traced heart opening on the patterned paper.
Using Ad-tech glue, I glued lace across the card front, where the opening will be.
Oh the back of the image, I put Ad-tech glue on the heart frame area.
Then used a Tombow tape runner to add tape on the back of the lady.
Then attached the image onto the patterned paper, over the heart opening.
The flowers where already cut out, so rolled them up and glued the end to the roll.
Using tweezers, I curled the inside of the flower tighter and glued in place.
With the tweezers I curled the edges of the flower petals.
Then glued the grape vine and flowers onto the card using Gem-Tac glue.
